What are the benefits of client projects vs personal projects?

Client projects give you additional tools to customize and adjust how you'd like your client to view and engage with your project! Let's explore all the ways client projects can help you wow your clients!

The following settings/functionality are specific to client projects only. Read more about how to enable client projects and how they're billed here.

Project Level Settings

  1. Show all product details - your client will see all product details including the price and purchase links to the vendor website.
  2. Disable purchase links - your client will see the product price, but not be able to click the purchase link to the vendor website.
  3. Disable purchase links and hide prices - your client will not be able to see the price of the item or the purchase link to the vendor website.

Default Things View

This determines how your client will see all of the Things (products/Vizis/Plans) in your project! You can further customize the view when Grid is selected.

Default Tax & Markup

If you're doing the purchasing for your client, you can set a default tax & markup so that you're not setting this value on each item you add to your shop list!

Get Client feedback

When you're ready, invite your client to the project so that they can log in and provide feedback/approval on any outstanding items. A project will also need to be a Client project in order for your client to view the budget/shop list for the project.

Review any/all feedback from your client in the Feedback section of the project


Tailor your project sections

Read more about the basics of sections here.

In Client Projects, once you've adding things to a section, you can re-order them to effectively guide your client through the designs and products as well as re-size things to emphasize them!


To Reorder

  1. Click the Reorder icon to the right of the section name

  2. A window will pop up where you can drag things around to whatever order you'd like!

To Resize

  1. On the Thing you'd like to change the size on, click the Adjust width icon

  2. Select the number of columns you'd like the image to take up (4 columns being the biggest, best way to feature something!)


Add Subsections

Go the extra organizational mile for your clients by utilizing client project-specific subsections!

Click + Add Subsection in an existing section to to further organize.

🔥Hot tip- Create subsections for alternate finishes you'd like to present to the client- think tile options for the kitchen backsplash!
