What's new in Plan Mode
Plans you made before this update keep working exactly as they did. When you open one, a blue banner appears at the top of the canvas.
- Click Upgrade in the banner to switch the plan over.
- Check your room and wall labels. Because rooms now measure to the inside of the walls, some labels may change slightly.
Upgrading keeps your plan looking the same. If a wall's color had transparency built into it, the Fill panel now shows the actual color and opacity separately.
Click the X on the banner to keep working in the older version for now. New plans start with all of these updates already on.

Walls with thickness
Every wall is exterior or interior, with its own thickness. The line you draw is the inside face of the room, and the wall sits outside it, so rooms keep the size you drew. You can change any wall's thickness, read its length from either side, and see each wall's length as you draw it. Uploaded blueprints keep the wall thickness Plan detects.
Plan settings
Plan settings now holds everything about how a plan looks and measures: canvas, units, fractions or decimals, label visibility, default wall thickness, and one wall color for the whole plan.
More improvements
- Fractions: see dimensions in your plan in fractions instead of decimal points.
- Measure: select any item and press M on your keyboard to see how far it is from each wall around it. You can also turn it on in Plan settings. Measure stays on across your plans until you turn it off.
- Wall preview while drawing: see the next wall and its lengths before you place it. Moving a wall shows the lengths of the walls it stretches.
- Selecting items on a room: click and drag across a room to draw a selection box around the furniture on it. To move the room, click it first, then drag.
- Align and distribute: select several items to line them up or space them evenly.
- Locked items: moving or deleting a locked item shows a notice with an Unlock link.
- Labels that stay readable: labels arrange themselves instead of piling up, and shrink as you zoom out so a full plan stays readable. A number too long for its line gets a pointer. Labels stay on screen when you zoom far in, and fading a wall no longer fades its length labels.
- Download as PDF: download your plan as a PDF.
