How do I turn a room photo into editable pieces?

Magic Canvas lets you take a photo of a furnished room and turn the individual pieces in it into editable objects on your canvas. Spoak analyzes the photo, cleans out the room, and identifies the furniture and decor so you can convert them into cutouts you can move, resize, and redesign with.

To get started:

1. Open the create menu and select Mockup.
2. Upload a photo of a furnished room or paste an image URL. You can also choose an image you've already uploaded from My backgrounds.
3. Choose Create Magic Canvas.

Spoak opens the photo in the editor and begins analyzing the room. The Custom Cutouts panel opens automatically and the room gets "cleaned" or emptied of all the object detected inside it.

Selecting items to cut out:

Once detection finishes, the detected furniture and decor appear listed by category. Click any item to select it. You can see which item is which in the small pop up of the original image, the selected item will be highlighted. Use Select All to grab everything in a category. Whatever you do not select will not be added back to the canvas.

When you've made your selections, click Convert to Cutout. Spoak creates individual cutouts for each selected object. This may take a moment.

Working with your cutouts:

At any time, open the Custom cutouts tab to see your generated objects as individual thumbnails. Click any thumbnail to place it on the cleaned room background. From there you can move, resize, and rotate it using the canvas controls, and apply tools like Perspective, Finish & Fabric, or Edit Image.

To generate more cutouts from the original photo, go back to the Create New tab, select additional items, and click Convert to Cutout again. Anything already on your canvas stays in place.
