What's changed in Spoak?

Spoak has been completely rebuilt. The tools you know and love are still here. They've been renamed, refined, and joined by new features built around how designers and design lovers actually design.

Here's what changed and where to find it.

My Library

Everything that used to live in My Things is now in My Library. Your folders (formerly projects) and files (the designs inside them) are organized the same way. The naming just caught up with how most people were already thinking about it.

Mockup mode

Viz is now Mockup mode.

New  tools to accompany the new name:

  • Custom Cutouts lift any object from a photo onto your canvas as a piece you can design with.
  • Grouped options let you bundle multiple pieces into a single option and swap them out together.
  • Export options have expanded to include renders, social graphics, and video.
  • Shapes now support manual perspective so you can match the angle of your space.
  • New guided demos walk you through the tools when you're getting started.

Swatch mode

Swatch is a dedicated mode for building material palettes before you commit anything to a mockup. Browse tiles, wallpaper, fabric, fixtures, and natural elements, then arrange them on a swatch tray to communicate the direction of a space.

Tallies

Your Shop Lists and Budgets are now Tallies. They've been merged into one feature tied to your folders, with a simplified two-status system: To Do and Done.

Time Saving Tokens

Magic features now run on Time Saving Tokens. Each Magic action draws from your monthly token balance. First use of each feature is free.

→ How do Time Saving Tokens work?

Public Views

Every folder you create comes with a default Public View: a shareable link anyone can open without a Spoak account. Show your work, share a mood board, or send a client a design link without giving anyone edit access.

→ What is a Public View?

Community

The Conversation Pit is where you share designs, leave feedback, and riff on each other's work. You can earn Kudos, reach badge milestones, and receive Community Awards.

→ Conversation Pit

Riffing

Riffing is a new way to respond to another member's design with your own take, without touching the original. Open a lite version of the studio, make your changes, and post your interpretation as a response.

→ What is Riffing?

Aesthetics

Your profile now includes an Aesthetic card: a visual snapshot of your aesthetic, based on our new Aesthetic Quiz

→ Your Aesthetic card

→ Take the quiz
