How do I create a swatch tray?

A swatch tray is a curated material palette you build in Swatch mode. Here's how to create one from scratch.

Create a new swatch tray

1. In your Library, click the + 🖌️ in the top navigation bar to start a new design.
2. Choose Swatch as the mode.
3. Click Create Swatch Tray and you'll be dropped into an empty grid (tray).

Add items to your tray

Use the panel at the bottom of the screen to browse and add materials:

1. Select a category: Paints & Colors, Wallpaper, Tile, Materials, Fabric, Fixtures, Natural Elements, or pull something from your Library or import something new.
2. Browse or search for what you're looking for.
3. Click an item to add it to your tray (you'll see it pop up on the right)

Arrange and edit swatches

Once items are on the tray:

• Resize a swatch by dragging its corners
• Rearrange swatches by dragging them around the canvas
• Fit — make the image fill the entire space
• Swatch type — change the border/style of the swatch
• Magic Background Erase — if the swatch you added has a background, remove it
• Crop — it to show a specific area
• Label — choose a different label option
