What’s Changing with Spoak’s Pro Tools?

We’ve made some thoughtful updates at Spoak so we can double down on building the most fun, powerful design experience possible. That means a few of our Pro tools have been retired.

Before you panic: your projects, designs, and products are not going anywhere. This article breaks down exactly what’s changing, important dates to know, and what (if anything) you need to do.

And yes… we’re building some very good things behind the scenes. ✨

📅 Important Dates

March 9, 2026 – The following tools will be retired:

  • Invoicer & Payments page
  • Design Shop
  • Portfolio (Designer Profile Portfolio section)
  • Job Fair
  • Clients page

April 9, 2026 – Final grace period for invoice payments and payouts.

Details for each tool are outlined below.

Invoicer & Payments page

The ability to create invoices has been removed as of March 9, 2026.

What’s changing

  • After March 9, you will no longer be able to create new invoices but you will still be able to manage existing invoices and create payouts.
  • Previously issued invoice payment links will remain active through April 9, so your clients will still be able to pay any open invoices.
  • You will be able to cash out payments received from those invoices until April 9.

If you need help cashing out (prior to April 9):

Looking for alternative invoicing tools?

Many designers in our community use external invoicing tools to manage client billing.

Here's a list of a few community favorites:

  • Client workflow (contracts + invoices): HoneyBook, Dubsado, Bonsai
  • Accounting + invoicing: QuickBooks Online, FreshBooks, Xero, Wave
  • Quick payment collection: Square Invoices, PayPal

Design Shop

Any services you were offering through the design shop are no longer be available as of March 9, 2026.

After this date:

  • Your Design Shop is no longer visible.
  • Any external links to your shop/services no longer work.

Portfolio

The Portfolio section of your Designer Profile has ben retired as of March 9.

  • Links generated from your Portfolio, including individual Portfolio project links, no longer work.

What didn't change:

  • Your projects remain fully accessible in the Project Hub.
  • Your designs remain available in My Designs.
  • Your saved products are still available in Spoak in My Things

Don't worry! Your work has not been deleted. We simply retired the Portfolio as a way to share your work.

Job Fair

  • No new Job Opportunities will be available
  • You will no longer be able to apply to new opportunities.

The good news is that some exciting changes are coming to Spoak and how you can interact with people looking for design help! We can't wait to show you 😎

Clients Page

This page currently provided a centralized list of clients you’ve added to Spoak

What changed

  • This centralized page is no longer accessible as of March 9.

What didn't change

  • Any client attached to a project will remain visible within that project in the Project Hub.
  • We did not delete your clients or project data.
